Catch Feels with Meera Shakti Osborne and AG
Nottingham Contemporary, 2021
Role: Curator

Catch Feels is a podcast made by 1525 Collective in collaboration with artist Meera Shakti Osborne and DJ producer AG. It was recorded over a period of three months over the Covid-19 lockdown period when Nottingham Contemporary’s 1525 Collective could only meet remotely on Zoom.

The podcast sits alongside a wider project and touring exhibition called Making Histories, where different groups around the UK explore a single emotion in each session by sharing sounds, experimenting with textiles and simply talking about it together.

Episode 1: Grief

The first episode looks at the topic of grief, exploring ideas surrounding mental health, Covid-19, gender identity and death.

Episode 2: Pride

Episode 2 explores the feeling of Pride exploring ideas relating to collective and individual pride, as well as Queer and cultural identities.

Episode 3: Serenity

Episode three is centred around serenity. 1525 Collective members discuss what experiences, sounds and feelings bring on the feeling of serenity, and the difficulties we sometimes encounter when trying to bring on such feelings of calmness and peace.
